Wow... what a nice encounter. I completely hate when you are interested in purchasing packages or purchasing items and you get a sales pitch, and gimmick sales techniques. There was completely no pressure, no bs, just straight up this is what we have to offer, here is the price, let us know what you would like to do.
Mackenzie was very informative and easy to deal with. Responded immediately to my emails and hooked me up with appointments. Extremely accommodating. I purchased the VIP essential package plus the personal training package in addition. Dr. Osborn completely ruminated over EVERYTHING when he was compiling this masterpiece of his. This package is very extensive and the best part is that pricing is EXTREMELY competitive (obviously a genius being a neurosurgeon).
Whomever did the interior designing in the office was on target with colors and deco. Shower/locker room is very stylish. They have some special laser sauna, that I can't wait to use!
They thought of EVERYTHING and seriously, where do you find a personal trainer to start at 5:00 am???? You don't, Ang is a phenomenal trainer! I am so looking forward to this coming year and my losses and gains!
Looking forward to meeting the rest of the staff.

Good morning Lauren, I’m about a week and a half into the hormones and the ozempic . I am feeling great!! I don’t know if it’s a combination of the new medicine with the weight training that I’ve started, but I am definitely noticing a big difference this week. I have very little appetite with no side effects from the ozempic . I find myself most hungry around dinner time but then I don’t really eat that much. I’m down almost 5 pounds. ! My mood is so much better. I don’t know if it’s mental or not but whatever it is, it’s working lol. I just wanna thank you so much for all the time you took with me and for helping me get started on this journey. Will we follow up anytime in the next few months for bloodwork to see where I am at? Thanks so much again. Have an awesome day.☺️

FAQs
What prompted you to write your book?
“Get Serious is a compilation of 30+ years’ experience in the fields of strength training and nutrition superimposed onto a medical foundation. People nowadays are searching for a quick fix that stems from outright laziness and a baseless sense of entitlement. Does it surprise you, therefore, that the health burden in this country continues to rise? It shouldn’t. Health takes work. That’s right. Work in the form of knowledge acquisition and the forging of healthy habits. Health is a privilege, not a right, unbeknownst to many, yet it’s accessible to everyone! Get Serious charges the individual – YOU – to take control, as relinquishing your health to someone else (even one’s doctor) is simply not a viable option, literally. Knowledge and personal empowerment are the underpinnings of Get Serious. I felt compelled to deliver this message to the masses especially in the context of the failed healthcare system – one that fosters disease, not health.”
What was most challenging about writing it?
“Synthesizing my thoughts to convey the proper message. One central underpinning of the book is the fact that nearly ALL diseases have an inflammatory component. Via modalities such as proper nutrition, strength training, and stress reduction techniques, one can keep inflammation at bay (as they all exert anti-inflammatory effects on the body). That said, I was constantly attempting to establish and build upon this “unified theory” and reiterate the fact that health is simple if one understands the genesis of disease. Someone famous said, “Knowledge is power,” right?”
What are the key take-home messages from the book?
The following are the most important:
- Health is a privilege, NOT a right.
- There are no “diets,” or secret exercise regimens that will grant one health or a particular body type. Proper manipulation of one’s biochemistry through the above modalities (i.e., turning on the right genes through strength training) will grant one health and longevity. This theme underpins my entire longevity medicine practice: Health resides in one’s biochemistry.
- Health is a lifelong endeavor. There are no races. Health is a lifestyle. We must constantly strive to better ourselves (through daily physical and mental challenges) to delay the aging process.
- Keep bodily inflammation at a minimum (through strength training, nutrition, and supplementation, proper sleep and stress reduction techniques). This maintains nearly all disease process in check.”
Is strength training for everyone, age-independent?
“NO ONE is too old for strength training. NO ONE is exempt from exercise. Numerous studies have demonstrated that one’s ability to combat disease is resident within our muscles. Muscles are the protein depots from which our immune system indirectly generates antibodies. Stronger individuals live longer, period. This has been proven. That said, EVERYONE should be engaged in a strength training regimen. Properly prescribed exercise is safe for EVERYONE. It is the prescription for the masses.”
Did you learn anything during the writing process?
“Health is a mindset. Optimal health begins in the mind, with understanding. Then it is simply a matter of making the proper lifestyle choices that cumulatively limit bodily inflammation and oxidative stress. This will make one less predisposed to age-related disease (which ultimately kills us). And what betters the body, betters the mind. And the cycle is perpetuated. Yet taking the initial steps towards the attainment of health is what hinders most people. Disease is neither a product nor function of physical “laziness,” but mental weakness. Health is for the serious-minded and is not for the entitled amongst us.”
What sort of feedback have you received about Get Serious?
“The vast majority of readers have enjoyed the book as it VERY direct (with few grey areas). It is a true “back to basics” guide, focusing on fundamentals of nutrition and supplementation (not some slick scheme) and 5 strength training movements (“the pillars”). There are no tricks or gimmicks. Also, readers seem to like the fact that I not only “talk the talk,” but “walk the walk.” The methods outlined within Get Serious have been time-tested by… me.”
